Coronavirus: message from Jean-Pierre Grimaud
After two weeks of lockdown, I would like to express my full admiration and gratitude to all those working at the service of others and on the front line in this battle against Covid-19.
We are all equally vulnerable to this coronavirus, and the solidarity between us is what will help us face this ordeal.
OFI AM has been preparing for this situation for several weeks already. It introduced health measures to protect, first and foremost, the health of its staff and reinforced its business continuity plan in anticipation of a severe lockdown.
All possible resources have been devoted to enabling the Group’s staff to provide business continuity while maintaining the highest standards of service for our clients.
All of OFI AM’s staff have been working remotely for the past two weeks or so and there has been no disruption to our production chain. Closer forms of communication have been introduced to ensure that information and processes remain fluid, including for the long term.
Client support is another priority for our sales team. It is adapting and seeking to work as closely as possible with all our clients amid the current market turbulence - holding frequent conference calls with our experts, creating webinars, publishing market analysis and fund management reports, broadcasting podcasts - in order to meet the needs of each and every one of them.
The Management Committee gets together each day for an update on the situation as regards the financial markets as well as our business operations to ensure we remain abreast of developments.
Our managers are making sure that information reaches all our staff members. The Group’s teams have been working hard for several weeks in these exceptional circumstances, and their efforts have been crucial in enabling us to adapt rapidly to this new modus operandi which will likely apply until the lockdown ends.
Of course, my thoughts go out particularly to those affected directly or indirectly by the COVID-19 virus, and I wish them all the very best of luck.
The more we protect ourselves and comply with the safety guidelines, the sooner we will be able to meet again. In the meantime, please stay at home.
Chief Executive Officer, OFI Group
